School and fun

School and work are in full-swing! Life is busy, but we're still having fun. I went to a work retreat and had to leave Jordan for a few days. It was our first time apart since we got married and it was saaaad. But we both still managed to have fun! He worked and spent time with friends while I rode a slip-n-slide, played shuffleboard, put-put golfed, hiked at night, and learned rules of intramurals.

We went to St George the next weekend. We hung out with Jordan's awesome family and enjoyed the nice weather.

Three things we always do in St. George: 1. eat Mexican food 2. swim 3. see a movie. We saw the Help with Jordan's parents and we all loved it! We swam with little Lexi and ate Mexican food at Durangos. But something we did something we've never done together! We went BOATING! And we camped in the honeycomb rocks. It was a great trip!
On the way home from St George, we stopped in Lynndyl for a little family get-together with most of my cousins and aunts and uncles on the Nielson side. It had been a long time since we've all been together, so it was nice to catch up and see everyone again. We played super-uno and had a barbecue in Grandma and Grandpa's yard.
Last weekend we went to Moab and it was UNREAL!! I just about died when we drove into Arches Park and saw the amazing red rock walls everywhere around us. We hiked, Jordan RAN up some steep rocks, and we overall had the time of our lives. The best part was that it was an all-expenses paid trip! His boss needed him to work a few hours in Moab, so we enjoyed a night in a cute hotel and dragged main in Enterprise cars. It was a dreamy weekend. It was hard to come back to reality! We stopped in Price, Utah on our way home and ate at the only diner in town. Ahh we had so much fun on our trip!
This weekend we are in Provo, for once. Jordan woke me up with breakfast in bed this morning since my throat's been bothering me. How sweet is he?? He's at work right now, and I am going to Costco soon to get some medicine. Plus it's Saturday. Free samples. Then Jordan has a flag football game this afternoon.

We are thrilled with marriage! We've had many cheap trips to Jdawgs and have made lots of yummy dinners together. We had a picnic the other day in the park.
On Labor Day we went to Jordan's grandparents house in Salt Lake and enjoyed a huge family get-together. His grandpa told stories and his grandma looked around at everyone with a smile so big, you could literally touch the love emanating from her heart. She is so cute. Jordan and I feel very lucky to have all four sets of grandparents that give us advice, make us laugh, and give us so much love! His grandparents sent us home with 12 ears of corn from their mini cornfield.

Tomorrow is a very important day to remember. It's hard to believe ten years have passed since that terrible act of terrorism. I'll never forget the things I saw, the heartache I felt for those who lost loved ones, and the way it brought our country together, strengthening us when we felt so weak.

Tomorrow is also Jeff and Nathan's birthday, and I hope they have a happy one! Jeff is at the BYU game today and I hope he brings them good luck! I love you guys!

Have a great weekend and LET'S GO COUGARS!
